iMac & installing xp?

IMac & installing xp? I am wanting to run ONE windows program on my new iMac (Leopard osx). I see there are a number of mac programs that are meant to enable me to do this...but after trying 2 ("Q" - unable to press f8 to accept licence on xp install) and I also downloaded a trial of "Parallels" which needed the xp cd in the entire time I ran windows...hence I was unable to install my windows based program!)...any suggestions greatly accepted!!

PS... If it were not for this one windows based editing program which I purchased and have been running for over a year...then I would not bother with xp at all. TIA.

Also Boot Camp won't do what I want which is to run the 2 systems side by side rather then booting into one or the other.

Pay yer $$$ for Parallels 3 then try another USB keyboard or check that F8 isn't used in leopard for something else (I think it maybe Spaces)...

Mmm I checked f8 settings..also one would assume a trial download of parallels (30 days) would be of their latest version 3?

To get the F8 key to function make sure you have click the left mouse button in windows to change control to windows, i have installed parallels several times without any prb

I do that change the control to windows...but still no luck.

What mac are you using?? macbook? if so hold the fn key while you press F8
