compaq presario v2000. recovery partition or CD?

Compaq presario v2000. recovery partition or CD? Does anyone know for sure, I tried alt f12, but no luck, I wondered if its meant to have a CD

Probably best to go online to Hp Compaq and read manual for your model, I would think you probably have to make the restore cd your self off a hidden partition when the machine was functioning correctly.

We have a compaq in the v2000 and our recovery is off cd's provided with laptop at time of purchase.

Mmm Interesting Yes well theres no recovery partition and no system recovery so I presume you're right. Maybe I need to ring Compaq and get a set

The V2000 comes supplied with the recovery partition, and the recovery manager software, which gives you the option to make one recovery set.At some point in its life this PC has obviously had the partition removed.You can get a set of disc's for your laptop, you will however be charged for the media set.

Thanks all got it sorted, found the cds that came with it, lost in the drawer LOL
