Have had IE v 7 for a while & recently downloaded Firefox. So much better, faster & user friendly than IE.

Personally I like IE and IE7 is a big step up from earlier versions. I could not live without tabbed browsing.

No shit sherlock I know that MS added tabbed browsing LONG after others. I was waiting for this obvious reply. What idiots like you don't understand is that it is only due to competition that software gets better. And less secure pfft. Grow a brain.

I agree pixma! rotfl !!! IE7 is crap and is less functional and trying to be more idiot proof and has no menu bar, you have to press alt to get it, far less buttons etc too! practicly only stop, home and refresh! its alot harder to get into history, and its a pain to have to customize the toolbar! firefox is far easier to customize.

Interestingly enough I just checked the latest webstats from the sites we look after. IE all versions 80%, FF all versions 16% and Safari 4%. Opera dosen't even enter into it. So I guess I'm not the only one using it. You're (NOT YOUR) the drop kick.

I think there IS browser competition Did Microsoft implement tabbed browsing for no particular reason, or did they do it after they saw it was a popular feature in other browsers? Sure, you don't *pay* for Firefox, and you don't pay for IE if you already own Windows, but that doesn't mean there isn't "competition". Having said that, I can't think of any reason why MS cares if you use Firefox, but I'm sure Google will find something for me.

Here's a good reason I use IEI'm no fan of it, but there are a small number of sites I visit on a regular basis that won't display correctly in anything but. (1 does rely on a plug-in, but the others don't.) And I really can't be arsed switching browsers depending on which sites I go to...

Infact Windows is THE only O/S I use on ALL my PC's (mummy lets me have 2 if I'm good, grow up), I did have Ubuntu installed but the farking drivers don't work. I REFUSE to be treated like a retard by using Mac O/S, (imo), but you won't have that problem. WWOD

I am not surprised with those stats for that site. And I said sites (plural) about 20 of them that are generic business website. Have you never heard of lies, damn lies and statistics. The interesting thing is that FF users seem to have the need to flame IE users. I couldn't give a flying toss what browser you use. Small person's syndrome is the only explanation.

I don't give a fark what O/S you use...why would I....the MOSD, if you know what that is, govt dep.; thats a hint, only allocated certain systems to be used for their 'clients' anyway. Now, think about the above few words and try and understand what they mean....
