| Net Nanny or Similar Hi there, I was wondering if someone was able to give me a programme similar to Net Nanny (Id buy the Net Nanny, but cant afford it). So looking for a cheaper version that works the same...as in i have two childeren using the same computer but want them to have different options on what sites they go to. Cheers in advance :) |

| Have a look at opendns.org they have filters you can enable and also you can add specific sites to block :) it involves just changing your DNS servers under your connection propertys. |

| Firefox has an extension that blocks porn etc Seems to be working for miss 7s account. |

| Have recently looked into this myself I have a 6yo & a 11 yo.
If you are using Internet Exp, you can go to Control Panel, Internet Options & then Content. There is a Content Advisor you can enable.
If yo are using Firefox (which I am) I have downloaded an add on called Glubble.
Each child has like there own browser page with their own websites, specific to them. It also has a link to heaps of childrens websites , educational & games.
If there is a website they want to add they have to request your permission. You the have to authorise it, and need to key in a password to do so.
A few annoying things about the site, mainly because we all use the same PC, but so far my DD loves it especially. |

| I use K9 Web protection. It's free and seems to work well - as long as you don't let your kids know what the password is! |
