Are you using free hosting? if not the hosting should have all the stats for you and in my opinion looks alot more professional that a counter on a site.

Not free hosting its just for a client for their new site, i thort if i put one on then they do need to mess with the internals of cpanel.

Hmmm fair enough I suppose, just think counters look cheap and nasty and unless you set it up right the "competition" or anyone can also get their stats.

They are excited bout the new site, and its publicised tomorrow they want to see how many hits they get. Like kids they are lol

Statcounter can have an invisible counter and can automatically send emails. Also it is not just hits which are are crock of shit anyway.
