Burning dvds - Nero| geek_kaydee3103 | March 22, 2008, 4:40 pm | #1 | | Burning dvds - Nero I finally found my nero software and was in process of burning a dvd - for the simple purpose of testing it out as I have never done it before. It got to the stage where it told me to insert blank dvd-r or rw disk. Which I did. It declined saying that the disk did not have enough room to do the job. They are 4.7G or 120 minute disks and the movie was only an hour and a half. Is there something I am missing here? |

Have u got more than 1 drive (with Nero you have to tell it which drive to use and it could still be that you've told it to use a CD and not a DVD) | | geek_kaydee3103 | March 22, 2008, 4:59 pm | #4 | | I've definitely clicked the right button soodanim. It comes up with dvd-r/rw etc and thats the option I clicked...I was assuming that if the disk says 120 minutes and 4.7gb or whatever that I didn't really need to see how big the movie was. Maybe it's just ebst that I invest in the 4 hour disks that way there's no issue. | | geek_rhys.m | March 22, 2008, 5:03 pm | #5 | | Are you trying to straight out copy a movie DVD? If so then the movie is probably a DVD9 (dual layer) and the DVD your copying to is a DVD5 (single layer). Try a program like DVDShrink if you're trying to copy a DVD movie. | | geek_kaydee3103 | March 22, 2008, 5:27 pm | #6 | | Is DVD shrink a program that you can just download off the net? Or is it one that you have to pay for? | | geek_ntalke | March 22, 2008, 5:58 pm | #7 | | This guide will let you know what you want to know http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php | | Leave your comment: | |
