Can anyone here help me unlock a phone?

geek_kiwi-chickOctober 10, 2008, 7:06 pm#1
Can anyone here help me unlock a phone? We have some instructions, but have come to a dead endand I don't want to have to pay someone to do it when some kind person could help??? Its an LG, telecom...let me know if you can help and I will get more details for you. Thanks
geek_lparker2October 10, 2008, 7:10 pm#2
Try the last 4 digits of the phone number.
geek_kiwi-chickOctober 10, 2008, 7:13 pm#3
As I said we have some instructions, we are way past the last 4 digits of phone number. It isn't that simple sadly or I wouldn't be here asking for help. We have instructions on getting into the phone info but hit a wall at a point. Just thought someone might know what to do next as the instructions are a little off at this point. Thanks tho.

Ouch a simple "tried that" would of been suffice!
geek_swivelOctober 10, 2008, 8:25 pm#5
YEP. Guess she might ask in computers (oh she has) but it's a phone. ??? go pay.
geek_gyrogearlooseOctober 10, 2008, 8:28 pm#6
Sure, Li'l Bulb could help you what are the "more details" that you can give?
geek_kiwi-chickOctober 10, 2008, 8:30 pm#7
I thought if I explained a bit more then someon might offer a more technical solution. No need for you to be so rude reallyfigures tho. Don't worry I'll go ask where people will actually have a clue.
geek_sirferOctober 10, 2008, 8:32 pm#8
Yeah take your stolen phone query somewhere else...
geek_dunedin_reeOctober 10, 2008, 8:33 pm#9
Awwww someone insulted us after not getting help quick-smart! Bad old computing. Personally I blame the recession.
geek_kiwi-chickOctober 10, 2008, 8:37 pm#10
Gee you're a bit rude it's not stolen you wally. I actually thought that there would be some helpful people around...if I had the knowledge I would share it. I'd you don't have a solution don't post anythingWhy are computer geeks so nasty? Hmmm In fact when I get the answer I will make it public knowledge...well not in here anyway.
geek_kiwi-chickOctober 10, 2008, 8:39 pm#11
Gyro - I was gonna give all the details on what we had done already. Its a long list and I didn't want to post it all at once. And it wasn't that I didn't get help straight away, dunedin person....its the fact that there was a tone, that wasn't called for and I think that was the first insult....? See ya's Not intersted now. Will take my query elsewhere,
geek_gyrogearlooseOctober 10, 2008, 8:43 pm#12
OK, hope you get it sorted depending on your patience you might try the brute force approach of trying all of the possible 4-digit combinations.
geek_lparker2October 10, 2008, 8:48 pm#13
haha how the heck did i know that she had already tried this option! gees some people....
geek_wogadopolousOctober 10, 2008, 8:49 pm#14
I love stroppy people coming in here Not getting the help they expect straight away then getting all righteous because of the "tone" in a written post.
geek_gyrogearlooseOctober 10, 2008, 9:12 pm#15
- you jumped straight to a solution while the thread starter said they had more information. Slow down and listen first, I say, drink tea. Then they feel the solution is more valuable.
geek_brymakOctober 10, 2008, 9:13 pm#16
Hi kiwi-chick What part of the phone are you wanting to unlock....telecom services or phone lock from power up?
geek_sirferOctober 11, 2008, 10:34 am#17
I'll post whenever I feel like it, not pending your advice. If you don't like it, you know what you can do.
