Slightly? Its pretty much a lifetime out of date tech wise. Put those amd processors up against equivalent core 2 duos, the only thing amd would have over them is the price.

Ooops... sorry... didn't mean to annoy you with my ancient reading, lol... I am trying to buy a processor on a budget and so I am comparing performance of some of those cheaper (ancient) processors... lol, sorry again.

You will not get a budget AMD They are power Users in the extreme whereas Intel have theirs right down. =Intel are cheaper to run.I don't have the figures here now but they are convincing to me..as mine are on 24/7.

Well power usage will be important to me too as I may install a Satellite card for watching and recording Freeview on it as well... may get quite a lot of usage.
