Networking XP on Linksys| geek_manilal7 | March 25, 2008, 4:38 pm | #1 | | Networking XP on Linksys Hey I have a linksys WAG54GP2 modem, I want to network my pc with a another pc both running XP pro. Ive tried googling but all it comes up with if i want to buy the modem, If anyone has a simple guide on how to network so i can share files between both pcs. TIA |

in "network sharing and security" there are 2 boxes tick them click ok....
make sure to right click my computer icon ...properties,,,computer name,,,,,, they need to be the same on both PCs
restart systems if using a thridparty firewall U will have to give permission or disable while sharing
I prefer to share a folder it is safer than sharing a drive
