n95 is technically better spec'd, but what the iphone does do, it does very well (IMO), and the interface is more friendly. if you want to geek it up n95 may be more suited to you, if you just want a phone/media player then the iphone is for you. reliability IMO is about equal.

IPhone if you want cool apps, lovely interface. The actual phone part isn't supposed to be so hot. If it were me, iPhone all the way as I adore my ipod touch and it's an iPod touch with a phone. :)

Awesome, Im pretty keen on the iphone after reading that, before i was leaning towards the N95! Now, heres a question. Does the iphone 2G support POP3 email? Like, could I connect the iphone to the wifi at my house, and then check my emails using the built in mail fucntion?

yup pop3 gmail whatever you wantone suggestion i would have is if you don't want a massive phone bill call vfone and get them to turn off gprs turning it off on the phone is possible but it can sometimes re enable itself ( this cost me 50bux :( )

IPhone Much cooler than geeky Nokia or Blackberry! Internet & email is great when theres a wifi hotspot as it will just hook up automatically, same as when you get home & it finds the wireless connection. If you have a .mac account, all the emails, contacts, calendars etc are all magically synced with the computer at home. Very user friendly as well...

Get N95 The N95 can do everything the iPhone can do and will do better. Especially the camera. I actually think it has a very good user interface. Battery life is pretty good. You can install all sorts of applications on a N95 as well, I don't think the iPhone is as flexible.

| I think there's about 15000 applications available for the iPhone atm, vs. about 100 for the Nokia.
The GPRS toggle has been fixed with the new Boss prefs panel, so no worries about accidental data usage and it's handy if you need mail/web outside a wifi hotspot. Battery life is fine, however, 3d games/videos will suck it pretty hard - but there's always a USB port around. One down side to the iPhone, the camera is poo but the N95's is pretty craptastic as well. |

RE 7 Don't you get 10mb for $1?

I bought a nokia n95 8gb instead of iPhone 3G after reading heaps of reviews online and seeing the mass amount of applications available. I was sorrily disappointed, there's really only 20-30 usable applications. I don't like the way websites are set out on the nokia n95 8gb and would prefer a qwerty keyboard like the iPhone has. The image quality, however, is great. The battery lasts a decent 4 hours of watching movies, or 2-3 days with general use. I had to send my phone back in because of the several dead pixels but oh well, I'll probably resell and get an iPhone instead.

What a load of Sh*t A cellphone is a cellphone. If you want your day disturbed by having to check e-mails every 10 minutes, you must have a sad life. A lot of people have come to let these poncy phones dictate their lives (and mostly these $1200 machines are purely used to send text messages) I challenge anyone with an I-phone or N95 to turn it off and leave it at home for a 24 hour period...Pete

What you mean that she paid for three of these phones? i would have asked them to show how they come to conclude that it was water damaged. anyway if a store accused me of something that was incorrect i would go back to them thats for sure. only issues with the iphone is very small cosmetic hairline cracks on the back of the white model. some dick in america tried to sue apple cause his iphone didnt look absolutely perfect a number of months down the track!! if i had the money spare then i would buy an iphone in an instant, the applications and interface is revolutionary and the pure popularity of the phone is certainly a plus when it comes to the apps being developed for it and the support networks/3rd party accessories. hell, even merc is including iphone integration into their new cars and was it bently or someone like that has one built into the dashboard!

Pete, ya donk. my business depends on me being able to check my emails every ten minutes, and easily respond to them. Up till recently that's meant carting around a lappy and a usb modem. Yay for iPhone and their ilk, I say.
