#3 | | .... I thought they said that the 'beta' will be the same as the final release but the final refease will have a few bug fixes..but the look stays the same. The GUI is the only think stopping me from using it all the time!!! |

#5 | | .... Do you use it all the time...I really need wine to be *slightly* easyer to use on it...then I'd probally make the move. Providided it looked nice with compiz or something. |

#6 | | ... Try Kubuntu - Ubuntu with KDE instead of Gnome. Should be good once KDE 4 is released |

#7 | | Thought it already had been Plenty of people don't seem to like KDE 4.Surely if you don't like the look of Ubuntu you can just change the boot image or the wallpaper. |

#14 | | Thing I never liked about Gnome was it never had Midnight Commander..think it has a version of it but the real one is just so versatile with Linux.I do rattle on about it but it is just so handy when theirs no GUI to deal with(meltdown) and all you have is the black screen. |

#15 | | Yay! Finally someone else who is a fan of mc. I downloaded it for my Ubuntu 7.10. I guess I love it because I used to use the Norton Commander and it's clones back in the DOS era. |
