Whats the cheapest way to get windows vista??? I am building my own pc from scratch and wanting to know exaclty what is the best and cheapest way to get vista home premium. I have a student id card if thats any help. Also, I am not asking if I SHOULD upgrade to vista, just the cheapest way to do it. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to purchase an OEM version with one of the components you are buying depending on your supplier.

Go to PB Tech and ask for an OEM edition to go with the hardware that you buy. I think the student discount is only for Office rather than Windows.

As Billy T said ... I nicked it of course! ...or turn off your anti-virus and you'll get hit by the Vista Virus.

Ok what parts in particular Would allow the purchasing of an oem edition? I am probably going to buy parts from e-one computers.
