Oh? how so?

geek_jamjars05, May 1, 6:25 am

well you can easily remove them without having to open up 'disc cleanup' etc

geek_0800xford, May 1, 6:26 am

Ok, that sounds good but why would i want to remove a restore point?

geek_jamjars05, May 1, 6:30 am

numerous reasons: infections, free up space, no need to defrag the files etc

geek_0800xford, May 1, 6:31 am

Yesthat occured to me after i had posted that i thoughti've only ever used restore a couple of times so why would i need to delete a restore point...doh!! it's all in the way you think about the question i guess..

Another update for ccleaner (2nd in a few days) just came on to Filehippo, great programme, even gave them some $$ for a job well done, worth every penny

you mean the free space wiping. ccleaner is a wicked tool, i just hope they don't ruin it by bundling more or worse toolbars or greyware with the installer. currently it ships with a yahoo toolbar if you download the "full" version. our ccleaner wiki page points to the "slim" version which has NO toolbar. the toolbar in question is far less nefarious than others around though, at least you get asked if you want to install it and if you missed the tickbox you can just uninstall it.
