Scanning a text document to word?
| geek_rokido | June 30, 2009, 2:40 pm | #1 | | Scanning a text document to word? I have a brother MFC 6490cw and am trying to scan a text document so I can work on it. When I tell it to use the OCR function on my MFC the image scans to the computer but then tells me I have no OCR software. Brother have told me it is on the disk we got which we would have used to install the MFC. How do I know if the OCR software is installed or not. Brother technical ass. aren't answering their phone. My OS is XP. Any help? Thanks | |

facility shows in Start- All Programs |

It scanned but still said no OCR software found? I am almost at the stage of just re-typing the whole document and giving up. Thanks. |

I went Control centre, configuration, Scan, OCR and where it should have said what software it is blank which I quess means I have no OCR software. Which I find odd as I have installed the full version disk that came with the MFC. Might have to phone Brother again? |
