Firefox /Mozilla Hi guys. My browser just update itself to version 3.5. I trailed it, a few weeks back, and was having hassles to removed it. Got no option now, I guess. What you guys think, of it? Ian.

Love it some cool new features, plenty reliable. been running 3.5b4 for a while and it seems to have quietly updated to 3.5. I wouldn't want to go back to 3.0

According to the MSFT guywhen he was talking about MSIE8's 'in private' browsing feature it's for things like if you buy your wife flowers or other stuff online and don't want her to find out from the browser history before they arrive.. that'd make a great Tui billboard ;-)

What a freaking useless browser it is.
geek_r.g.nixon July 1, 2009, 2:44 pm
#21
Why? Because the BNZ site is broken. Doesn't the BNZ use standards-based HTML?
geek_r.g.nixon July 1, 2009, 2:47 pm
#22
Just looked at BNZ using FF 3.5 Personal login brings up form asking for Access Number & Password. Aren't you getting that?
geek_stkys July 1, 2009, 2:48 pm

I use Opera for Westpac, slow slow, slow login. It used to be very fast. Every other site opens immediately. I use FF2 for Stuff because it crashes Opera.

Never in years has a site not performed as it should in Opera for me.

Just updated to 3.5 Checked my bank website and a couple of others. Seems really quick especially given the time of day when things can be a bit slow. As noted last week the Trademe Feedback checker no longer works. Shame but no doubt it will catch up eventually.

Badcam Download all your plugins, for each plugin that won't install unzip it, edit install.rdf and change the MaxVersion value then zip it up again and install it. Or even easier go to about:config and set extensions.checkCompatibility to false.
geek_stkys July 2, 2009, 1:10 pm

So experts, why is the bnz site not rendering fully? The FF 3.5 was a fresh install, no addons or anything else.

I've got the answer Type about:config into your address bar then push enter and scroll down to network.dns.disableIPv6; and change it to true..Difficult job this one.

I'm still not sure, about it. I traied it, a few weeks back and ended up taking it off as some of the add ons didn't work. This time they all seem to, so thats a bonus. Only site I've found that don't work is, http://www.speedtest.net/mini.php . It says "Speedtest.net Mini requires at least version 8 of Flash. Please update your client". Done that and run, a few times and still won't work..
