Sharaz1 I was watching one of Sharaz1's auctions and discovered it had been withdrawn TM. Then I noticed he has no listings at all, when usually he has a hundred running at any one time. Trouble at mill?

Wierd i have bought dozens of things off farasha & have never had a single prob with any item. Infact he will send the items to me without even receiving the money first & that rob guy is just a n00b & should get his facts right before he posts uneducated drivel.

Robbo28 is a knob. People like that don't deserve to have control of a PC.

I love it. Just never knew that "Quote Bid on 500GB and received 465. Just a bit pissed off as when questioned the response was "the bigger you buy, the more you lose"! I bought 2 and lost 70GB in doing so. This could be one for the Fair Trading Act and Fair Go."

500gb formatted is 465gb's!!!
well atleast my western digital 500gb shows in "Local disk C: properties" as 465GB Capacityrobbof@g is a n00b

Sharaz1 is at fault for not explaining it to that rob guy though. Not everyone knows that windows defines a gigabyte as 1,073,741,824 bytes and not 1,000,000,000

Of course maybe he has gone on holiday and that's why he has no listings. I've bought a few things from him, no problem at all but I go and pick-up. Man, for those outside Auckland you have to see his place to believe it - the lounge is chock full of gear, the garage is full of old photocopiers, the driveway is littered with junked PC's. You have to pick your way across his lounge floor very carefully so as not to step on anything PC-related. He must have a very understanding wife. I wish my wife was more like her.

His trading account here has been disabled he will still be trading, it is not a backyard operation, the shop is still there, emails were being answered up until this evening.. he will be back as ever, as sharaz before him and sharaz.1 before that, farasha and farasha1.. the man moves near 100k units annual. if you have a trade in progress it will be completed as per normal

Cpq? when I picked from him admitably last year it was from the shop.. has he closed down the shop?.. also I know he has not been getting his trademe emails, I contacted him on the old shop email yesterday about a trade and got an instant responce, could be trademe in their normal cautious manner have had 2 complaints about unanswered emails so pulled his account altogether.. he'll be back

Hope you'r right skin I am due to pay for a small purchase tonight. Saw my watchlist vanish this afternoon as there are a few things I want from him. No problem with trades so far and the one warranty issue I have had he was onto straight away. How come TM can't see that he has over 60k of individual smiley faces. Surely that has to be balanced against the negatives. There are plenty of other traders out there with a worse feedback percentage than Sharaz. I will pay for my purchase and look forward to his next incarnation. I think I will email him and ask him to send me his new trading name when he is up and running on TM again.

Cheers Skin for clearing that up, his IT gear is reasonably priced, will be keen to trade with him when he gets his next account set up!!

Didn't he also trade as computerszone years ago. anyway I have traded with all 3 and have never had a problem with them. Hope they come back soon.

Dont see anything disabled just an account with no listings.

You're right flewy, they haven't disabled him but the 300 odd listings he had this afternoon are gone.. that sized glitch doesn't happen too often . cpq you have the auction number and article listing, send him an email if you're concerned, I'd imagine he will be very busy sorting the issue that caused this issue

Skin1235 I've bought from him over four years and the pick-up has always been from his home in Blockhouse Bay. I didn't realise he had a shop. I have no bid's in on any of auctions at the moment, I only initiated this topic because one auction I was watching had been "removed by the TM Administrator" which i though rather curious.

Its just sad that so many tards get to leave a negative and sellers like him have no comeback - it seems that once you have a few then others will leave them for the dumbest things..

Excellent trader i have bought so many things off this trader and every time the service has been great. the last time i wanted extra ram but he said i was wasting my money because my computer was so old any more ram would make no difference, also after winning a few auctions i found the products i bought i did not need so he told me i did not have to go threw with the trade.. i did because it was my fault bidding on products i did not need and he is a business, i hust relisted back on trademe at a reduced price

Bad attitude trader probably late paying his tm fees,..
geek_drcspy July 3, 2009, 7:12 am
#35
its not the age of the computer which will determine if extra ram will make a difference it's how much ram is being used currently on the system. If your system is using up most of the installed ram just to start up then yep more ram will help - even on an 'old' pc......people just dont seem to think logically sometimes......

Disabled I emailed TM last night. They replied saying they are disabling him for breaches of Terms and Conditions. (QUOTE) Not for fraudulent behaviour or failure to deliver. I will continue to trade with him. Those who don't know about "2 raised to the power of n" should stick to buying books on TM. At least when a site says a book has 563 pages they will get a book with 563 pages and gigabyte/ megahertz ignorance will remain bliss for them.

Mojo49, damn,.. is that all I was hoping IRD had finally caught up with the bugga,..lol

Kevin16 I'll bet it is all about him trying to avoid success fees. $'s rule! As a CA I think he would be really silly to try it on with the IRD. Much too easy for them to trace his income as it is mostly via bank tfr / credit card, although I suspect he probably takes a fair bit of cash via trader pickups. It could be tempting for some of that not to make it's way into tax declared income. That would hardly make him a criminal by my experience with NZ small business owners, who seem to think tax evasion (undeclared cash income) played with the IRD is a winnable game. I note from a recent IRD newsletter that the "cash economy" is now a prime target for them. Good luck to them. It will take a lot of work to make small gains for the Revenue in that area.

The quality of a trader is not judged from successful sales but they are judged by their actions when a sale goes wrong
