#1 | | Keyboards.. another one bites the dust. I am not hard on keyboards but my cat is! He weighs about 5-10kg so is not really what the makers had in mind when they designed them. Not much Ican do except throw things at him but I can't hit the side of a barn at 10 paces. I think he knows that since he usually ignores me when I throw. OK, now the point of this. Does anyone have any ideas on heavy duty keyboards (USB/PS2)? | |

#2 | | Model M, ftw! Otherwise, train the cat. The moment a paw touches the keyboard, quietly pick it up and gently drop it on the floor. Cats just want attention, there is no point trying to stop them from getting in your way(as it earns them attention). But they can learn that it's detrimental to their goal if they touch on the keyboard. |

#4 | | Ours is an old mongrel, 18 years old and still hunts. I hear her nailing rabbits at night. They scream. Pinchs my seat on couch. Gets by blower heater under pc desk, but never, ever gets on desk, island or dining table. She has been actively removed and discouraged as a younster, so never even tries. They're very self indulgent, but have to be trained just like children. The only way they'd get on desk is when they're encouraged. Common sense really. As someone famous once said, forget who, "Common sense isn't that common". |

#5 | | How about.. those flexible keyboards? Are they tough? I suspect the problem with them is the feel. Does anyone use them? |

#6 | | I have a flexi keyboard I use it sometimes when working on other computers in my lounge, however i find that the keys are not sensitive enough. |
