This sounds easy but....

This sounds easy but.... When I transfer a file from one partition to another,it keeps duplicating or copying the file to the other partition instead of just moving it.How do I stop this from happening.TIA

I presume you are..... dropping and dragging, why not cut and paste?

RIGHT clik the mouse on top of the file then drag it.....when you release the mouse when you have the file in the location where you want it it'll give you a menu ....move/copy/create shortcut/cancel.......choose 'move'..

#3..Yeah I do that as of now.. but it still duplicates the file(ie,file still in original folder aswell as in new one).

Ok I tell a lie... Ive just figured out why it duplicates.Because I have it "in-use" while dragging it.Pays to stop using before moving..
