Yes the same simcard will work, there's no 3G sims You may not need to unlock/jailbreak. It depends on where you got your iPhone from. Some places (eg HK, NZ, France etc) sell them factory unlocked, in which case you are good to go. IF, your phone is factory locked to a carrier, eg USA phones, you will need to use ultrasn0w to unlock it. The best place to get required info is http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ any other sources are suspect. However, it is imperative you do not upgrade to 3.1, 3.0.1 is OK; 3.1 upgrades the baseband and will bork your unlock. You will be able to upgrade to 3.1 once pawnage tool is released - it will keep your old baseband; oh you will need a mac for pawnage tool. Ultrasn0w can be installed from a Cydia repo once you jailbreak with redsn0w. So a) don't upgrade to 3.1 and b) don't jailbreak/unlock if you do not need to.

where did you import it from? and how much?

I should clarify my earlier post: if you do have a factory unlocked phone, feel free to upgrade to 3.1. You only need to stay on 3.0 if you are on a carrier locked phone and need to use a software unlock.

Yes, where did you get it? I looked at one at Singapore airport in May and am thinking of getting one next time. They said it was unlocked.
