| My LCD screen was buggered and extended warranty/insurance company are replacing it with a Samsung, just had a look on there website but could'nt find anything bout warranties. . any idea? |

| If it's a replacement, you usually don't get the full warranty, it's only the original warranty. |

But why would'nt a manufacturer cover there product if it faults? . . should'nt make any difference if it was a replacement or not? There does'nt appear to be any info about that in my policy document. . so how did you guys know this? Thanks :) PS the original LCD was not a samsung |

| I think replacements are still covered under the CGA. I could be wrong though |

| Because that's how warranties work. . you don't PAY for the replacement, so you don't have any RIGHT to a new warranty. The original warranty still applies to your new replacement. |

| well that sucks. . lol. The insurance company offered me a new 5 year warranty for $160 so i'll go for that. |

| You'd be better off getting contents insurance than an extended warranty from the retailer |

| Everything before the 'B' series had a three year warranty. 'LA37B530' is a 'B' series TV. All models after then have a one year warranty. This was actually actioned on behalf of the retailers rather than Samsung itself because the retailers were having such a hard time selling extended warranties on top of Samsung's guarantee. |
