The screen on my HP laptop keeps blacking out. I can still hear sounds and things happening, but can't see anything. I have to restart it every time. What is wrong with the bloody thing?

could be the backlight on the LCD or the inverter for the backlight could be overheating? ? Will need to be looked at, go to the retailer but make sure the backups that you are already doing are up to date.
