Mine was going fast on Sunday, extremely fast. But now it is so slow it's unbearable. Anyone else having these problems?

You're either trying to be 'funny' or theres something seriously weird goin on with your system cause 6. 5Mb/s is GOOD... ... . .

Xtras P2P downloads go at dial-up speed most of the day.

Most of the time it's ok, even in the evenings (hehe), but it was god awful last night. It usually clears up.

I have my client set up to run at 20kBps/10kBps during the day and unthrottled from 2am to 9am. The couple of times I've been too impatient to wait until morning and disabled the throttle I still get unrestricted speeds (~1Mbit down).
Perhaps I'm not throttled by them because I'm a good boy and follow their Traffic Management scheme voluntarily, or just lucky and don't have any network bottlenecks.

No I am not trying to be funny. Admittedly I don't know much about the speedtests but thought I would post it anyway. My speed is going very slow for everything, with nothing else running in the background. A couple of days ago it was running extremely fast but is now below dialup speeds. And yes, it is Big Time - but I haven't had this much trouble with it before.

Much the same as earlier this morning when I posted. At the moment now I have a file downloading thru Firefox, however uTorrent, etc is all closed. Bloody thing...

Came home from work the other week and went to get some music. (Was on nightshift) found between 2am and 6am super-fast speeds!

I usually find between those times I have super fast speeds, didn't have the PC on last night (has been on 24/7 for a while so thought I would give it a rest). See how tonight goes.

Not sure how true this is... but somebody told me that after 2am the banks are all offline downloading overnight accounts etc, and with the rest of NZ in bed, once the banks wind up at 2am, the net goes into turbo-drive... . (just a rumour of course) but funny how the net suddenly fires up at 2am daily!

11. 5/0. 5Mb/s. I've never gone below 10Mb/s down since getting an ADSL2+ modem, but have never gotten more than 0. 5Mb/s up.

Why not use rapidshare.com (should saturate connection, I sync at 11. 5 Mbps and get throughtput of 10. 5 from RS) rather than torrents.

Disagree - Depends where your getting your links from I have now done ~ 2TB on RS and never has a virus.
Especially when compared with the likes of P2P
