How do i set up the microsoft office outlook

who is your isp?
their website will have the steps to do this.

got to the part where it says account then could not get it in to "mail"

do you have admin privileges to do this?
are you saying you are not 'permitted' to edit the settings of outlook?

its our home computer and yes i do. The drop down screen saing "mail" wasnt an option to click

office is paid software so you should get support with it, maybe call microsoft tomorrow and get them to talk you through it or telecom.

All a bit vague, but should go like this. Open Outlook > click tools. at acct settings window email tab should be selected by default, if not select it... . . > click New. From there on you're on your own, hopefully with the help of your ISP if you need it.
