Regarding networking on a computer

#1 | | Have just brought a computer off trade me as needed a second computer for the kids, it said it was internet ready i get it home to find that it can only be connected on dial up and we have broadband, what do i need for the computer to be able to connected to my broadband? | |

#10 | You need a 'switch' (something like #303963029) and a couple of ethernet cables (lke #303454515)
Plug your existing broadband modem into one port of the switch (usually doesn't matter what port) and both computers into two other ports, and with a bit of luck everything will just work... |
