Hi,

I am putting together a business plan (not for an actual business just a requirement for my degree) and I am wanting to compare my product in terms of cost with that of an I. T. technician and since I have not worked as a Technician for over a year I have forgotten what we used to charge out.

I am only after very rough figures of what you think a good service would charge per hr for in house and then also an hrly charge for a callout.

Thanks in advance

The lowest ive seen is $55 p/hr upto $80 or more - and around $40for just an inspection, then there can be an extra charge if any for after hours and callouts, travel (some charge if out of local area etc etc).

LOL I saw a company that was being charged $100 an hour and that was 2 hours to run windows update on 4 computers. Funny stuff.

don't do 'in house'. . its not economic, unless you are grossly overcharging, . .

i'll fix your computer for tea and bikkies, no guarantees though...
and you probably won't make my tea right and the bikkies will be stale.

I know that most in house is quite expensive I just wanted a broad figure to compare my fictional product against in terms of cost and time provided.

Thanks a lot guys.

Yup, forgot all about prices as they aren't relevant to me anymore lol.

Funny how I ended up needing it though.
