You have 256MB memory on the card and it's using up to 256MB System Ram (HyperMemory = marketing oxymoron), this is next useless as system ram is much slower than the GPU ram. But, yes, theoretically your card has up to 512MB available; 256MB onboard and borrowing 256MB from the main RAM. If you can disable Hypermemory do so, your card is too puny to benefit from the extra 256MB and you'd get better performance from having it allocated to your OS/apps.

.... #7 the memory tab tells you how much RAM you have installed and the speed of it etc.

geek_0800xford, May 16, 11:32 am

Ram Under memory it says general type ddr2 size 2048 nothing about graphics sorry

geek_leson, May 16, 11:45 am

.... you're right, it doesn't say anything about your graphics [i never said otherwise]

geek_0800xford, May 16, 11:49 am

.... how about start - all programs - accessories - system tools - system information?

geek_0800xford, May 16, 11:59 am

512mb system info 512

geek_leson, May 16, 12:09 pm

.... you can expand the 'components' section too, is that what you did? look under graphics. graphics cards specs seem quite ambiguous at times aye.

geek_0800xford, May 16, 12:12 pm

Yes Yes thats right

geek_leson, May 16, 12:23 pm

.... so do you now know what you wanted to know?

geek_0800xford, May 16, 12:25 pm
