Harvey Norman is a rip off As far as software is concerned. $230 for Nero 8. The online downloadable version approx $120 NZ. Sure you don't get a box, but $230? Ouch

You actually buy software? Congratulations. However, so I don't put myself totally 'in it' - you can find free software that does the job. I think every CD/DVD burner that you purchase [boxed version] comes with adequate burning software.

Yeah I do And I prefer Nero 8. Someone has to keep the companies going :)

Dont buy there if you are paying cash Their prices are inflated to cover for their intersest free terms that they offer. I have proved it time & time again. I spent $9,000.00 just recently on electronics & by checking around because i was paying cash got myself a far cheaper deal than what they were offering

Soborrowing your logic (Someone has to keep the companies going)you buy all your equipment at Harvey Norman? And that way you get to keep both Nero AND Harvey in the black.

nero 7/8 is the bloatmaster 3000. free apps are just as good, if not better.

Ahhhhh but mcdonalds is nice ......so is beer, you've got to die from something. If i chose my cause of death it would be Liver failure aged 120:) Oh and yes Harvey Normans don't give things away.

Harvy norman computer side is a ripoff but their electronics side have somce very good prices once you ask for a cash price.

Yes they sure are Rippoffs. I brought a Laptop once that was on special and i payed for it on higher purchase and they changed the price without me knowing. I have never been back either to Harvey Normans. I now deal with Dick Smith and they are so helpful.
