Restore from HP Pocket Media Drive

I had an accident with my old HP notebook (liquid spilt on it) but luckily I had done a back up on my pocket media drive not long before it bit the dust.I have now got a new hp laptop but I am having trouble working out how to get the stuff off the pocket drive and onto the new laptop. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Depends what backup program you used. What are the file extensions?

Install 7zip (freeware) or WinRar (nagware, won't expire) to extract from ZIP files.
