A good starting place is Google your error, www.fixyourownprinter.com or even hp forums, http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-printing-questions/L7380-Print-Problem/td-p/282780 Printers can be strange and mystical beasts popping up strange and mystical errors, that are sometimes totally irrelevant.

means theres a print head error

honestly who can tell you anything - you haven't even mentioned the make/model of printer (surely the MOST basic information)

Most likely the printhead is dead. They have a lifespan - like the cartridges do. You most likely have to replace it. If you can find on that is.

I have an HP too (C5380), recent printhead error. I called HP and got a new one for $75. That included a full set of ink worth over $110 retail so it was worth doing. To replace the printer would have been $150+ as it prints on discs.
