Upgrading to 64bit

allas, Jan 23, 3:53am
I have Windows Vista 32bit, and I am interested in going to 64bit, so I can have more than 4GB of Ram.

How do I do this!Do I have to re-install the entire operating system, which means loosing everything!

do you have a 64bit version of vista !

cause if you were thinking of buying it DON'T - get win7 it's much better

No i don't have the 64bit version yet, so you say just jump to Windows 7 64 instead!I did though, that my OEM for Vista 32 would work for Vista 64, which would save me 200+ on a new operating system.!

not sure about that you'd have to read up on whatever you have there.i do know that toshiba laptops for instance give you the option of installing win7 32bit or 64bit when you first start em up

Your product key should also work with vista 64.
Just a matter of finding a copy.

Hi can I ask, are you installing RAM for a heavy RAM intensive program, or just because its slow!

bit of both, Photoshop, HD Video editing, graphics heavy games.

do you have, and I thought this would be the first question, a 64bit capable processor!
