Printer not compatible?

jennia1, Feb 24, 5:42am
I have a new HP officejet pro 8100 and recently had to get a new desk top (Toshiba running windows 8) I have just tried to hook printer up and it says its not compatible, only with windows 7, windows XP & windows vista.

Is there any kind of upgrade I can do to the printer so it can function with Windows 8!

Go to the NZ Hp site (google it) and search for "drivers and downloads" for your version of Win8, is it 32 bit or 64bit!
This link may help
Note. Unplug your printer and only plug the USB cable in when the software install says so

No. You could try the Win 7 driver, it will either work or it won't. If it doesn't.well, new printer time.

I purchased an HP 3070a wireless printer over 12 months ago.At Christmas we purchased a new laptop running Windows 8 and the new laptop has connected to the printer. But the teenager can't remember if we downloaded drivers from the HP website, I have a funny feeling we did.
