Help please. I was doing this for my teenages on to an old second hand comp. What does it mean and how can I fix it? Thanks.

Download direct from avg, the file may be corrupt.

Or an existing infection is preventing install. Try house call for an online scan.

Also, download malwarebytes and scan with that.

Yep, free AVG seems to be more malware now days than the malware it tries to stop. You just end up getting spamed to buy the full version constantly.

I find panda cloud is the best, but you will still get the occasional popup to buy the "full" version
