Ipad ?

What is the expected life of an IPad. Thanks in advance.

Same as any computer. 1 day to 10 years or so.

In other words, there's no way of saying. But on average, 3-4 years before you'll need a new battery at least.

Thanks for that.

After about 3 years you will find that less and less things will work as you can't do the right updates on older hardware.

We have a large number of ipad 2's at our local school, they are over four years old. All still work perfectly, as does every ipad 1 I know of out there including mine. Three years would be a very short estimate for an ipad, although after three years you can start to expect some applications to be unsupported.

My iPad 2 64 gb is 4 years, 5 months old, original battery going strong.
It was in the first shipment of iPad2s to enter NZ.
