My friend is pretty sure someone is using her wifi

Of course she is going to change her password. She thinks one of her kids might have told the neighbours kids the password. But before she does, we are wondering if its possible to work out who is using it? Can we find out the name of the computer connected to her wifi? She has anew Vodafone modem, that has a digital display. It tells her when ever a device connects or disconnects from the modem.

Yes. Use the web interface of your router.
For example, on my Fritz!Box router:
http://192.168.1.1
Click on WLAN

have a look under network/places in friends computer - if you allow network discovery this will display names of connected computers.
Most PCs these days expose the public folders, assuming windows.

Thanks heaps, I've just spoken to her and passed that on and now she knows exactly who it is. And she's just changed the password.
