Windows 10 Install

OK - I understand that W10 is a free updated for W7/8 users and it will happen after Jul 29. I have reserved my upgrade. My question is how? I normally shut down when I finish in the evening so will I need to leave my PC on and running? Sleeping? Will it be an ISO that can be used at my convenience? An exe? I know enough to install an OS from a CD/DVD/USB.
Can someone please unconfuse me.

Thank you but that does not give much detail. I guess I will have to be patient.

Well it hasn't come out yet so I doubt anyone really knows.

But you'll likely just click an "install" button and Windows will do the rest.

My guess it will download to your pc like the updates do, then you can install it at your leisure.

hopefully they will give an ISO option for upgrade users, hate doing in place OS upgrades

I suspect it will come down as a windows update, as that is the only way it can upgrade so as to authenticate using the valid credentials of the existing 7, 8 or 8.1. If you want to do a clean install from an iso file, you will NEED an authorisation key, which you won't have.
