Getting picures off a Sony Z phone

wron, Jun 2, 12:25am
I have rarely used the camera on this phone which I've very recently replaced with a Samsung S5, and never bothered with transferring them off the phone.
However there are 7 images of my dying mum surrounded by family that I'd love to get onto my computer so I can distribute and save on a disk.
I've plugged the phone into my Windows 8 machine, but it doesn't seem to be able to find them - I have the gallery open in the Sony with the pictures selected.
Any suggestions welcome - I'm keeping the Sony alive (dying battery) until I can extract them. Thanks.

I found a programme called PC Companion which is for Sony stuff, but one site said it would update the handset first - which I don't need - presumably with a later version of KitKat. All I want is the photos!

Does the phone not show up as a drive under Windows Explorer?

You can email it to your self.
Sync to google drive so can come up on your s5.
Bluetooth.

another option is dropbox and turn on camera upload

Thanks to all, success! Can now send the phone to the great museum in the sky!
