Nextbook startup time

I bought on of these from the warehouse.
To extend battery time I switch it off between usage.
However it takes about 60 seconds to restart, Is this normal for tablets? My smartphone restarts almost instantly,
This starts more like a computer with a hard drive.

Well firstly, Nextbook make many devices so it would depend on what you have. Secondly, Nextbook tend to make cheaper devices so the processor is probably not a very fast one and it won't have a lot of RAM. These things will contribute to a slower startup time. But in saying that, 60 seconds doesn't sound awful to me.

Putting it to sleep rather than shutting it down shouldn't use much battery.

They're not designed to be completely switched off. BTW you will just be putting your phone to sleep - those also take a long while to start from completely switched off

Yeah I have a pretty top of the line smartphone and it takes at least 30 sec to start up.

These types of devices are made to be put to sleep and only fully restarted every once in a while.
