I imagine there would be a few concerned courier drivers nowadays.

would be inconvenient if it need someone to disconnect the package from the cable each time. Perhaps we will start seeing package drop markings on roof tops, but then they are left out in the open.

no worries the delivery is not acceptable
until there is some sort of delivery point

It was a bit unclear in the video how the parcel was attached, but i found the cable idea unusual, perhaps they have done it for safety reasons?

Either way it should be possible to make it detach the parcel automatically.

I also expect that the recipient would be required to provide a GPS waypoint for delivery so its a clear area to drop off the goods.

But either way if it means faster and cheaper delivery im all for it.

lol a drone landing on your table to deliver beer. One bottle at a time? What a piss-take.

geek_ross1970, Jun 22, 1:11 pm

It'd never be CAA approved. At least not in the near future

That was an April fools prank.

geek_suicidemonkey, Jun 22, 1:11 pm

Yeah it sort of sums up all this urban drone delivery hype atm.

geek_ross1970, Jun 22, 1:16 pm

All for a good laugh

geek_suicidemonkey, Jun 22, 2:45 pm

Would never happen. how would they sign it as l/b or f/d. unless its presigned lol

You have to be there when the delivery takes place, so its all done through the app which probably asks for permission and you probably make some declaration through it.
