Help with Google Chrome

stella40, Jun 30, 10:23pm
Chrome is continually freezing with a response at the bottom of my screen saying 'waiting on cache'. I have clearing browsing data etc, adjusted settings, checked firewall, malware, security etc and am now at wits end. Can someone please explain in very simple terms how I fix this problem please.

You'll have to wait for someone who likes the bloated Chrome spyware from evil Google.

You could always install the slimmer, open source, extremely flexible Mozilla Firefox.

go into chrome settings menu
click settings
scroll to bottom and click show advanced
scroll to bottom and click reset

I did try. Quite a few times.
But alas, the evil Microsoft has buried it's tentacles deep.

There is a folder located
C:\Users\[user profile]\AppData\Local\Google\-
Chrome\User Data

If you uninstall chrome, then delete/rename that folder, then reinstall chrome it will essentially be a clean(ish) install of chrome.

BUT it will remove existing bookmarks, homepages etc these will need to be added back

Ok thanks, will try this. What causes chrome to do this?
