Landline over fiber issues

mrfxit, May 24, 8:34am
Sooo anyway, we are now fully supported on fiber BB.
New upgraded Huawai router (business class)
The only issue so far is our 1 year old Uniden cordless ph's.
Theres a really nasty hollow raspy sort of sound from them but the std corded phone is really clear.
Didn't have any ph issues with the original fiber router (Also a Huawai)

Any sneaky tricks or another recommendation for a different brand
I am presuming that the Unidens are on the 2.4mhz signal & possible crossing with the wireless

Maybe he was thinking of having some weetbix for brekkie at the same time he posted? lol

Anyway, what happens if you disable the wifi radio and use your cordless?

Now that's thinking ! However I have it on good authority that our man now has a 5.8Ghz cordless phone given to him. That should also at least be another step in the process of elimination which will sort this situation out.

LOL, I had 1 word slightly wrong but sounding correct.
My grammar was also a lot better.

I be thinking maybe dyslexic slightly

Yep sweet as thanks.
Charging up now & will test tomorrow.

So far good clear reception.
Will leave the 5.8ghz ph's on for now & then swap the 2.4ghz ph's back for a few days.

If you suspect interference with the wifi channel, try directing your router to use a specific channel rather than using 'Auto channel' and see if any of the channels make the phone clearer than others.
