Micro SD crad question

I'm looking for a Micro SD card for my latest cellphone and came across a couple that say, "Micro SD, refurbished".
Can I ask, please, how does one refurbish an SD card, apart from a formate?
Thanks,
Ian

More than likely wiped down with an ol' oily rag

Considering how cheap SD cards are these days, I wouldn't touch a refurbished card tbh.

Thanks guys.
Two very good points.

"Refurbished" is a euphemism for fake. Also avoid "upgraded".

Thanks guys.

I've put a bid on a New 8 Gb instead.

Interesting defination of refurbished "- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refurbishment_(electronics)

"previously returned to a manufacturer" is what I would trust

But "seller" refurbed, Nah
