Panda wins again

Top, or top-equal detection of 'real world threats'. I would have liked to have seen more results though. e.g. The dotted white line is called 'out of the box' detection strength for both Windows 7 & 8. Well Windows 7 is MSE (not very good), whereas Windows 8 is Windows Defender (much better).

Not a Panda fan, like all things Google, depends where you look. I will stick with Comodo. http://www.matousec.com/projects/proactive-security-challenge/results.php

uh. matosec is testing firewall leakage. which is very different from a proactive real-time AV protection test.

Here's some tests to check if your security is at least doing something, try at own risk. I ran all tests and Comodo stopped 4 but missed the phishing page test. http://www.amtso.org/check-desktop

Thanks, realized that i had copied wrong link, also very old test. The second link is what i meant as it is recent and mentions Panda.

To what are you referring? They use exactly the same virus definitions, so if one is crap - the other is likely to be crap as well.

Oh, I checked and you are correct - oops! On Windows 8, Windows Defender includes MSE, whereas on Windows 7 they were separate.
