Getting rid of everything off ipad

I have a ipad 4 that I've used for the last 2 years. I now want to give it to a granddaughter. How do I wipe everything I've looked at so she can start with a clean slate. Many thanks I,m a bit technically challenged

To clear your history and cookies, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.

That will just clear the browsing data. Best thing is to give the iPad a factory reset.

To do that, go settings>General>Reset.

Yep factory reset - then she can load her ITunes account onto it

Do you also need to remove the ipad from the apple account? I was under the impression they were still tied to an apple account even after a factory reset
