Erase iphone

tanya170, May 10, 7:14pm
I am not sure what I have done, but I want to delete and erase all content from an iphone. All the stuff has been transferred onto another phone. I signed into and removed the phone, and on the phone have now gone into settings, general, reset, erase all content and settings, erase iphone x2 and it comes up "verification failed there was an error connecting to the apple id server.
I am not sure what to do in order to erase everything from the phone before giving it to someone.
Any help appreciated - p.s. I am not computer literate!

You should have left it in icloud in order to reset it, you can actually reset it from icloud, I can't be bothered looking.

Find My iPhone/Erase iPhone.

Yes I think you can erase it via Find My iPhone:

They're actually pretty good to deal with.

And yes iCloud is a pain.

You may be able to do it with iTunes:

You need to be connected to the internet when erasing all contents. Connect to WIFI and try again.
