So from you list that leaves Compaq. | | geek_dansim | July 23, 2008, 2:05 pm | #3 | | Llalal I have a MSI.. It is a good laptop, well its 1k or something I think, apart from my ones faulty or something, id it works fine.. hahah | | geek_mechnificent | July 23, 2008, 2:10 pm | #4 | | Toshiba or H.P. don't give much trouble, easy to fix and get parts for if they do have a problem. A lot of the cheap ones have things like the power plug or speaker plugs are attached directly to the motherboard and whan someone bumps the plug sideways or pulls it out too roughly the whole board has to be replaced. Good brands mount plugs on small plastic bits that can be replaced easily and cheaply. | | geek_footplate1 | July 23, 2008, 2:15 pm | #5 | | Acer I'm running an Acer and have had only a little worry and that in the last weeks. Talking with a techo about by next one and concerned about weight and having Vista/Office 2007 he advised that the forthcoming ACERs (in month or so) looked good. If I had unlimited cash, well I might go for Toshiba but OK on Acer. | | geek_ross1970 | July 23, 2008, 2:27 pm | #6 | | Wireless dial-up thingy= Wifi 802.11n. "n" being the latest version. "g" and "b" being the older ones. | | geek_pets99 | July 23, 2008, 2:44 pm | #7 | | Yip thats the one so it must be between acer and compaq? | | geek_xxamr_corpxx | July 23, 2008, 3:49 pm | #8 | | Lenovo! I think they have the best ergonomics i.e good keyboard and trackpoint design. Acers are good but are heavier than others. | | geek_charles.j | July 23, 2008, 4:50 pm | #9 | | Dell,Hp and lenovo are the better brands... | | geek_rcmikey | July 23, 2008, 4:53 pm | #10 | | Toshiba or Lenovo (ibm). Acer I would not go near. | | geek_julieandcasper | July 23, 2008, 5:25 pm | #11 | | I like HP. | | geek_charles.j | July 23, 2008, 5:32 pm | #12 | | Re not ibm? havent heard that before.. | | geek_radzb | July 23, 2008, 5:41 pm | #13 | | Do you have a budget? | | geek_laj3 | July 23, 2008, 5:42 pm | #14 | | Isnt ibm a big bisness brand? . | | geek_deodar | July 23, 2008, 6:05 pm | #15 | | A Brand Wise with a wireless thingy Is a piece of crap. You want another
