Didn't read your post fully. Seems like your songs are already in iTunes. Here's a tutorial that hopefully will be of help.http://www.apple.com/itunes/tutorials/#sync http://www.getsharepod.com/ is a good third party programme to use to transfer music that is already on your computer. NOT in iTunes. | | geek_kylestyle | July 24, 2008, 7:27 pm | #18 | | Sweet Fanny excellent user name lol | | geek_dunedin_ree | July 24, 2008, 7:48 pm | #19 | | ITunes will only work with an iPod (short answer). If you have something else you need to find out how to transfer music to it. Some are drag and drop, in which case open up My Music - iTunes - iTunes Music (or therabouts) and copy music to your device. You're calling it an MP3 player rather than an iPod so I'm guessing you have some kind of generic/unbranded device. | | geek_sweetfanny | July 24, 2008, 7:56 pm | #20 | | It is a Philips GoGear mp3, and I can not find any instructions for it. It is not a Ipod. I have brought the music through itunes store, so it is sitting in my purchase file, but I can find now way to transfer it from there onto the mp3. | | geek_dunedin_ree | July 24, 2008, 8:00 pm | #21 | | You've wasted your money. UNLESS you bought 'iTunes Plus' music, which can be converted to MP3s by right-clicking on the fule in iTunes, purchased music from the iTunes store is in a proprietary format that will not play in other players. There are ways to break the DRM, and you can also burn a CD of music and then re-rip back into iTunes. As for getting the music onto the device, I'd say you either need to drag n drop, or import all your music into Windows Media Player and sync THAT with the device. Long story short, unless you have an iPod, don't bother with the iTunes Store. | | geek_vtecintegra | July 24, 2008, 8:23 pm | #22 | | As above, the easiest way is to burn your purchases to a CD (can be done in iTunes) then rip the CD to unprotected mp3s. A pain, but better than losing your purchases. Otherwise (and I hate to suggest this) consider buying an iPod - they're actually good players, and the lower capacity Nano is quite cheap. | | geek_sweetfanny | July 24, 2008, 11:21 pm | #23 | | Well I finally managed it burnt it on to cd. Then ripped it on to computer then moved it on to mp3. Thanks for all your help guys. | | Leave your comment: | |
