I had a mind-blank and thought he was referring to music on a PSP. | | geek_pewinkle | March 14, 2008, 8:14 pm | #5 | | Um... Its A play Station 3 Any Ideas | | geek_dunedin_ree | March 14, 2008, 8:16 pm | #6 | | Enlighten me ... How/where is the music on a PS3? Something you download from the big PS3 music store in the sky? Music in a game? Something else? | | geek_pewinkle | March 14, 2008, 8:19 pm | #7 | | Yeah Its just were u turn it on & it comes up with the game music video settings..etc.. Yeah its just in were the music goes if that makes much sence | | geek_smithjj | March 14, 2008, 8:19 pm | #8 | | I'm not sure if I get what your asking? soo he wants to take music from off his PS3? huh?!?!? | | geek_pewinkle | March 14, 2008, 8:21 pm | #9 | | He... He just wants to copy some songs of his playstation 3 on to his ipod | | geek_smithjj | March 14, 2008, 8:26 pm | #10 | | What songs are on there? he wouldn't got songs on there from someone putting them on there from a CD or something like that?1?! | | geek_pewinkle | March 14, 2008, 8:28 pm | #11 | | CdD he put the songs already on the game from a cd but if u plug the ipod in the game the song of yr ipod go on the game | | geek_pc_nut | March 14, 2008, 8:59 pm | #12 | | You want game background music on your iPod? virtually impossible unless you know how and where the music is stored etc and what format its in: raw, mpeg layer 3 (mp3), WAV, ogg, etc, etc and convert that into a format supported by the iPod. | | geek_dunedin_ree | March 14, 2008, 9:11 pm | #13 | | If the music on the PS3 is stuff that he originally ripped off a CD, why not just stick the CD in his computer and rip it into iTunes? | | geek_pewinkle | March 15, 2008, 6:43 am | #14 | | Yeah its Umm it will not work but i would of if i could | | geek_coleno1 | March 15, 2008, 7:00 am | #15 | | I could be wrong, but... ...has he tried plugging ipod to ps3 via the usb cord? ps3 is basically a computer too, so whatever cable he uses to plug his ipod into a computer (usually via usb cable)he can use for data transfer off a ps3... What format th music is, generally doesnt matter with ipod, however an ipod will then re-format all its music to mp4 | | geek_coleno1 | March 15, 2008, 7:35 am | #16 | | A ps3 has, i think a 60GB hard drive... which is where all his media will be stored... And it has nearly every cable port imaginable, so your son shudn't have much trouble as ipod data tranfer cables are plug & play i think? We gave our ps3 to my step son who lives at the other end of this island so i can't double check my suggestion sorry, but tell him to give it a go anyways... | | geek_coleno1 | March 15, 2008, 7:59 am | #17 | | Re: the suggestion at #13 maybe thats not working because you have your windows media player enabled as your default player for ripping cds etc... Thats sweet to carry on with-just open your itunes player, click on file, then click on 'add file' or 'add folder' to library - from there you can look for whatever file or folder that he's wanting, highlight them (for multiple files, in a folder - hold down ctrl & alt to select) or (if you're wanting, say, 2 0r more in a row, hold down ctrl/alt & shift, then select them with your mouse) you can do that with folders too.. select 'ok' & it will trsfr your chosen media to itunes - all ready for your ipod to syncrohnise & wah lah your aunty... | | geek_pewinkle | March 15, 2008, 11:09 am | #18 | | Well I'v Tried that i think i just need some step by step instructions
Thanks so much Though | | geek_pewinkle | March 17, 2008, 3:36 pm | #19 | | I think?????????? u need 2 have the 60geg We only hav the 40 | | geek_garrenplem | September 2, 2008, 8:37 am | #20 | | i've put songs onto myps3 with my ipod but my ipod got all the songs deleted and i'm now trying to use my ps3 as my back-up and i tried copying to usb device but the ipod didnt show that the music was in it. the ps3 said it was in the ipod but i didn't show up on the ipod. | | Leave your comment: | |
